Plymouth’s Neidlinger commits to Dominican

June 28, 2011

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth’s Trisha Neidlinger has chosen Dominican University to continue her soccer career next fall.
Neidlinger was a four-year varsity starter for the Lady Rockies while at Plymouth.  She helped her team to the Northern Lakes Conference championship as a freshman and a conference co-championship her sophomore year, and as a junior and senior helped lead the team to consecutive sectional runner-up finishes in 2009 and 2010.
Neidlinger was a two-year Indiana Soccer Coaches Association All-Academic player as a junior and senior and an Academic All-State player in her final season last fall. She has played spring soccer in the Indiana State League for the past four seasons as well as for the Northern Indiana Futbol Academy in South Bend.
Dominican University is an NCAA Division III school located in River Forest, Illinois. The Stars are a member of the Northern Athletic Conference and have played for the conference championship three of the last four years, falling just short of the title each year. Last year they set a program record for wins with a 15-5-1 overall record.
While at Dominican University, Neidlinger — who was accepted into the school’s honors program — plans to study Biochemistry.
