BOURBON — Phyllis L. Lytle, 88 of Bourbon, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011 at Bremen Health Care, Bremen.
She was born to William Nye and Laura Roberts Nye Nov. 1, 1922. She married Robert Lytle Oct. 26, 1940. He preceded her in death Dec. 11, 1981.
She is survived by her three daughters: Sheron and husband James Knepp of Bourbon, Diane and husband Garford Mauk of Fredericksburg, Texas and Rose Ann and husband Stephen Hall of Bourbon. She was also blessed with 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and her sister Mary and husband John Nafrady of South Bend.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, two grandsons, a sister and four brothers.
She had been a resident of the Bourbon area most all her life. She was a homemaker, and she previously worked at Orthopedic Equipment Company, Amish Acres and was Custodian at the Bourbon Public Library. She also attended the Bourbon First United Methodist Church when she was able.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 15, at 3 p.m. in Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home with her grandson, Glenn Knepp officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 15 in the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home at 115 S. Main St. Bourbon, from 1 – 3 p.m. prior to services.
Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Bourbon.
