GOSHEN — Phillip James Lindenman died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011 at IU Health Goshen Hospital at the age of 63.
He was born Feb. 8, 1948. He led an active life as a farmer, agriculture consultant, agriculture educator, FFA advisor and 4-H leader. He had taught agricultural sciences at Argos High School four years then worked for Farm Bureau and developed an agriculture consulting business. He later returned to teaching agriculture-related classes at NorthWood High School for 15 years.
Phillip graduated from New Paris High School in 1966 and Purdue University in 1970 with a dual degree in agriculture education and agronomy. He later acquired a master’s degree in agriculture education. He retired from NorthWood High School in July of 2010. 
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rosemand (Bailey) Lindenman; son, Trenton (Heather) Lindenman and two granddaughters, Ella and Aubrey of Otterbien; daughter, Toriann Lindenman of Chicago, Ill.; mother, Ilene (Benson) Dyer of Goshen; brother, Rex (Donna) Lindenman of Westville. His father, LaMar Lindenman, preceded him in death in 1993.
Phillip was a member of the New Paris Church of the Brethren.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011 at the New Paris Church of the Brethren with Pastor Stan Godfrey officiating. Burial will be in New Paris Cemetery.
