Party leader caucus to be held to refill seat

February 27, 2011

BOURBON — A Republican party seat was left open on the Bourbon Town Council as a result of the untimely passing of councilman Gary Collins Feb. 4. His term was to run until Dec. 31, 2011.
As a result, there will be a caucus of the Republican precinct representatives, at 5 p.m. March 9 at the Bourbon Town Hall, 104 E. Park St., Bourbon, to fill the vacancy.
Any person interesting in being considered for the position should file a Declaration of Candidacy no later than 72 hours before the March 9 meeting at 5 p.m. by mailing or dropping off the Declaration (which can be gotten from the Marshall County Clerk’s office) to: David R. Holmes, Chairman, Marshall County Republican Party, 116 W. Plymouth St., Bremen, IN, 46506. Call 574-546-4022 for more information.
