Parent must accompany student for laptop distribution
BREMEN — Every student at Bremen High School will be assigned a MacBook Air for the upcoming school year as part of the school’s One-to-One Computer Technology Initiative.
All students will be required to have a parent or guardian attend with them at anytime during the distribution windows, and they only have to attend once. Sessions start every ten minutes, and the entire process should take less than one hour.
Laptops will be distributed Thursday, Aug. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon and 3 to 6 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 17 from noon to 3 p.m. A $56.50 insurance premium will be collected at this time (to be paid by either cash or a check). Students will not be allowed to take the laptop until this fee is paid in full.
High school registration and course fee collection will be held during the same dates and times mentioned above; however, it is preferred that online registration occur, beginning Aug. 13, with the parent’s Harmony password accessing the student schedule and the necessary forms that need to be completed.
If a family does not have a Harmony password, or it has been forgotten, they should contact the BHS Guidance Department. If a student needs a physical education uniform, $18 must be paid prior to the start of school in addition to the course fees and the insurance premium for the computer. Receipts will be provided.
