P-Town Car-B-Q is Saturday
PLYMOUTH — It’s that time of year again for the P-Town Car-B-Q sponsored by Oliver Ford. The event is this Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. behind Oliver Ford and features a car, motorcycle, and truck show, grilling and cornhole competitions, a beer garden, and music by Dave Hammon.
Car show registration begins at 8 a.m. Entry fee is $15, and proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Marshall County. The show goes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and there will be trophy tiles awarded to the top four places in each category.
A grilling contest will also be held throughout the day. Registration is from 8 to 10 a.m., and participants will be charged $25 for a 10 by 15 foot space. Grillers must provide their own grill, tent, tables, electricity and all necessary equipment needed for preparation. A panel of judges will award prizes for the best chicken, ribs, brisket, and other.
A cornhole contest will begin at 11 a.m. for $5 per person, and a beer garden will be open from 10 a.m to 3 p.m., sponsored by the Brass Rail. For more information on the event and a complete schedule of happenings, visit www.car-b-q.com.
