One taken to hospital after car/bike accident

NAPPANEE — One man was taken to a hospital after a car hit the rear-end of his bicycle early Wednesday morning (Aug. 22).
At 5:03 a.m. Dion Beadin, 29, South Bend, was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am east on U.S. 6 west of C.R. 100 in Nappanee when it collided with the bicycle ridden by Josey Slabaugh, 21, Nappanee, which was traveling in the same direction. Slabaugh was taken to Memorial Hospital South Bend for complaints of pain and other injuries. Beadin reported no injuries but his vehicle received windshield damage on the right side.
