One arrested for criminal mischief

BREMEN — One person was arrested July 20 after Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the Beech Road Amish School for a complaint of criminal mischief.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. July 17 officers arrived at the school at Beech and 5th Road and found that someone had painted the school and mailboxes and other locations in the surrounding area with spray paint.
During the investigation, surveillance pictures of persons of interest were obtained from a local business. As a result, Friday, July 20 Detective Lt. Duane Culp and county officer Les McFarland located Tyler Houk, Bremen and arrested him for Criminal Mischief to school property, a class D Felony.
Houk was lodged at the Marshall County Jail. A juvenile was also questioned and detained for the investigation which is ongoing.
