PLYMOUTH — Oleta M. Clifton, 87, of Plymouth, passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at 5:15 a.m., at Miller’s Merry Manor Assisted Living, in Plymouth.
Oleta was born March 29, 1925, in South Bend, to George and Martha (Jones) Schall. Oleta married Edgar L. Clifton Oct. 12, 1994, in South Bend. Edgar passed away June 6, 2010.
Oleta worked for Wagoner Electric, in Plymouth. She was a member of the Community Church of God in LaPaz, and a member of the Rebekah Lodge #844 in Culver.
Oleta is survived by her daughter, Barbara Jane (Stanley) Bateman of Plymouth; her sons, Edgar E. Clifton of Elkhart, Michael C. (Linda) Clifton of Brownsburg, and Roger (Karen) Clifton of South Bend. Eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, also survive, along with her sister, Jean (Jack) Taylor of Lakeville. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lilian Killian and her brother, George Schall.
