CROWN POINT — They’re back.
Oregon-Davis’ girls basketball team earned a 67-46 victory over Lafayette Central Catholic at the Class A Crown Point Regional Saturday morning to advance to the state championship game this weekend.
It’s the program’s first trip to state since its 2006-07 championship season, and the team couldn’t be happier to be headed back.
“To be going to the state finals, everybody dreams about this moment,” said OD forward Lexi Minix. “To actually be here and to fulfill our dreams is the most amazing feeling that anybody can go through.”
“It’s incredible; it’s a dream come true,” echoed guard Alicia McIntosh.
