NWS: Yellow River in Knox reaches major flood stage

The Yellow River in Knox reached major flood stage shortly after 2 p.m. earlier today, according to the National Weather Service.
Major flood stage for the Yellow River is 14 feet and the river is expected to crest at 15.1 feet at 7 p.m. Saturday, according to the NWS.
The record crest for the Yellow River is 15.72 feet in 2009. The second highest was 15.63 feet in 2008.
