Newman arrested in Argos

Police arrested William Newman at a home in Argos Wednesday night.
Newman, 42, led police on a chase in Marshall County Dec. 11.
Newman eventually fled into a field near Tyner.
Police searched for him but were unable to track him down.
Marshall County Sheriff's Department officials contacted the Argos Police Department and informed them they believed Newman to be at a home on the 100 block of North Michigan Street in Argos.
Newman answered the door when police arrived. He then quickly slammed it and attempted to flee.
Police surrounded Newman and he quickly gave up.
Newman was booked into Marshall County Jail Wednesday night.
Newman was originally wanted for drug warrants out of Fulton County.
