Nappanee woman makes other's lives better at work

January 29, 2014

NAPPANEE -- Amanda Vandermark of Nappanee has found her calling and it's social work.
Formerly a telecommunications major at Ball State University in Muncie, Sophomore Vandermark attended a campus event by the author of "A Child Called It," Dave Pelzer.
"I was really involved and interested in [telecommunications] but there was a part of me that just lacked passion," Vandermark said. "You can get a lot of attention or notoriety from that but I was raised in a very generous family so I kind of, in a way, felt selfish for not doing something."
