Mystic Hills hosts Northern Open Golf Championship

CULVER — Mystic Hills Golf Course was the host of the 2012 Indiana Northern Open Golf Championship on Monday, June 11.
Mike O’Toole from Noblesville finished first with a score of 66 at the par 71 course, two strokes ahead of a three-way tie between Preston Smith, Brian Brodell and Andrew Eiler of Rochester. This was the first IGA/PGA event hosted by Mystic Hills.
Mystic Hills was honored to host the field of 125 golfers, both professionals as well as amateurs.
“It was a great experience for our staff and members,” said owner Vicki Pugh.
Dave Pugh, course professional, added, “The golf course held up exceptionally well against the best pros in the state.”
Mystic Hills is among seven courses throughout the state of Indiana along the Pete Dye Golf Trail. Golfers wishing to complete the trail should may up a passport at any of the seven courses. A stamp in the passport will indicate completion of each individual course, and golfers who achieve stamps at each course will receive a Pete Dye Gift package.
