STEELEVILLE, Ill. — Mildred C. Prange, 92, of Steeleville, passed away at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at St. Ann's Healthcare Center in Chester, Ill.
She was born Dec. 15, 1917 in Sparta, Ill. the daughter of Herman Junge and Louise (Buescher) Junge.
Mildred married Arthur V. Hagen Feb. 7, 1937; he passed away May 16, 1973. Mildred later married Elmer Prange Feb. 13, 1982 and he passed away Dec. 14, 2005.
She worked as a homemaker in her home and was also a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill, Ill., St. Paul's Ladies Aid, Steeleville Lions Club, and AARP Steeleville Chapter.
She is survived by her son, John A. Hagen of Gautier, Miss.; two daughters, Carol Seegers of Bremen, Donna Klar of Indianapolis; two stepsons, Darwin Prange of Campbell Hill, Ill. and Lloyd Prange of Roanoke, Texas; two stepdaughters, Eunice Johnson of Hazelwood, Mo., Grace Kimbrough of Campbell Hill, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; and three sisters: Ruth Frick of Bremen, Anita Mueller of Chester, Ill., and Adele Fanter of Bridgeton, Mo.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lydia and Paula; four brothers: Gene, Walter, Markus and Waldo Junge.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010 at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wine Hill. Rev. Tim B. Zechiel will be officiating.
Visitation was held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, Saturday, Dec. 4 from 5 to 8 p.m., then Sunday from 7:30 a.m., until 11 a.m. and then from noon to 1 p.m. at the church.
Funeral services will be held at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bremen, Tuesday at 11 a.m. Rev. Roger Rohde will be officiating.
Burial will follow at the Bremen City Cemetery in Bremen.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill, Ill. or St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bremen.
