WARSAW — Michael (Mike) R. Kreighbaum, 62, of 425 Chinworth Court, Warsaw, formerly of Plymouth and Marion, passed away at 1:25 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at the Gardens at Lake City in Warsaw.
Mike was born Feb. 19, 1949, in Argos, to Howard and Mary Donna (Poor) Kreighbaum. Mike spent many years living in the Marshall County area, until moving to Marion, and most recently moving to the Gardens at Lake City, in Warsaw, to be near his family. Mike will be greatly missed by his children and his grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his love of animals and the Chicago Cubs, “Go Cubs Go!” Mike proudly served his country in the United States Army, spending part of his tour, in Vietnam. He also served his community as a city police officer, on the Plymouth Police Department from 1975, until the time of his retirement, in 1994.
Mike is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Alan) Grossnickle of Warsaw and Kelsey Kreighbaum of New Albany; his brother, Roger (Jane) Krieghbaum of Indianapolis; his two grandchildren; and his sister, Joan Legaspi of Bartonville, Ill.
