Marshall County Builders Association to meet Tuesday

PLYMOUTH — Chuck Muller, Director of Member Services of “Holey Moley” will address the membership and guests at a dinner meeting Tuesday, May 10, at the Plymouth Country Club.
Muller will present “Recent Changes to the Indiana Call Before Law and How it Affects You.” He will cover all the recent changes and talk about the fines that can be assessed for failure to comply with certain aspects of the Safe Digging process.
Muller has been with Indiana 811 since 1995. Currently, he is responsible for the member and public relations aspects of the organization.
Prior to working with Indiana 811, Muller was employed by an Indianapolis area municipal water and sewer contractor for 17 years as an operator/foreman.  During all of those years, he encountered thousands of buried utility lines.  This gives him a unique perspective on both sides of the damage prevention issue.
One thing is certain: No one wants to cut a utility line, it slows down the job and puts your employees in danger. The main purpose at Indiana 811 is to prevent the damage before it occurs.  They are continually striving to get all contractors to call in at least two full working days prior to the start of their excavation.
Tickets for the dinner meeting are $20 per person. Reception will be at 6:30 p.m, with the dinner meeting at 7 p.m. To make reservations, call Janet Bixel at 574-892-9009, or email jlbixel@gmail.com.
