PLYMOUTH — Mark Edward Arvesen, 57, of Plymouth, passed away at 8:33 a.m., Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, as a result of a stroke. Mark had struggled with various health issues for the past 10 years.
Mark was born May 17, 1955, in Evergreen Park, Ill., to Robert and Patricia (Earl) Arvesen Sr. He graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1973. March 30, 1983, Mark married the former Paula DePue. Mark had worked for Pregis Innovations Packaging and its various previous owners, for the past 22 years, until July of this year. He had also worked for Langfeldt and Payne Well Drilling and Montgomery Well Drilling. Mark was an avid Yankee, Rams, and Spartans fan. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing softball, golfing, and bowling. He was a loving husband and father. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Paula Arvesen; their son, Scott and Tricia Arvesen and their children, Kylie, Ian and Trenton of Plymouth; their daughter, Stacy and Anthony Bennitt and their daughters, Janaye, Addyson, and Ashley of LaPorte; their son, Patrick and Samantha Arvesen and their daughter, Caidence of Plymouth; Mark’s father, Robert Arvesen Sr. of Plymouth; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Rosemary DePue of Argos; brother, Bob and Rhonda Arvesen of Plymouth; sister, Nancy Bice of Marshall, Mich.; brother, Jerry and Janice Arvesen of Bloomington sister, Karen Green of Plymouth; sister, Patty Pynaert of Plymouth; brother, Eric Arvesen of Plymouth; sister-in-law, Rose Anna and Jon VanHorn of Culver; several aunts and uncles; cousins; and nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his mothers, Patricia and Janet, and his sister, Barbara.
