INDIANAPOLIS — M. Wayne Senter 85, of Speedway, passed away, Dec. 24, 2010, in Indianapolis.
He was retired from DuPont. He was a 1943 graduate of Speedway High School. He was an Army veteran of WWII.
He was a member of Speedway Christian Church, Friends of the Speedway Library and a Scoutmaster of three area troops. He was also a volunteer at Sharing Place West and a Charter Member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lu Senter; children: Carol (Terry) Quillman, Mark (Leanne) Senter and Lisa Martin, grandchildren; Elizabeth, Amy, Tyler, Jessica, Clayton, Riley and Megan, six great-grandchildren and brother, Louis (Peggy) Senter.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Speedway.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at the funeral center.
Burial will follow at West Ridge Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Friends of the Speedway Library.
