ARGOS — Lynda Lee (Snyder) Bennett, 51, of 17607 Kenilworth Road, Argos, died Jan. 1, 2012 at 5:58 p.m. at Indiana University Health — Goshen Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 4, 1960 in Plymouth to Marvin L. and Nyla J. (Irwin) Snyder. She has lived in the Argos community all of her life.
Aug. 5, 2000 in Plymouth, she married LeeRoy C. Bennett.
She was a homemaker and Grandma. She attended the Argos United Methodist Church, Argos, and was a graduate of Argos High School class of 1979.
She is survived by her husband — LeeRoy C. Bennett of Argos; children — Joshua L. Van Vactor and wife Ashley of Plymouth; LeeAnna M. (Van Vactor) Dowd of Plymouth; Christine M. Bennett of Bourbon; eight grandchildren; parents — Marvin and Nyla Snyder of Argos; and sister — Laurinda S. Taylor and husband Charles of Argos.
She was preceded in death by grandfather — A.C. Snyder 2010; son — Jonathan W. Van Vactor 2006; daughter — Patricia A. Bennett 2003.
Friends may visit with the family Friday Jan. 6, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Argos United Methodist Church, 540 N. Michigan St., Argos.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday Jan. 7, 2012 at the church, with Rev. Henry Sprunger officiating.
Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
Memorial contributions may be made to Marshall County Humane Society, P.O. Box 22, Plymouth.
