Lucky golfer(s) will drive away from the course
PLYMOUTH — If you are a golfer with some skills, you could be driving a new car home courtesy of the area’s Youth For Christ ministry.
YFC will hold its annual golf outing fundraiser at the Plymouth Country Club Thursday, June 23 — and thanks to some help from local businesses, two lucky golfers could have a new ride home.
“Somebody is definitely going to be driving a car home courtesy of the Auto Park,” said Bob Beck, leader of YFC. “Auto Park will give away a car for the golfer that is closest to the pin. Oliver Ford will be giving away a truck for a golfer who hits a hole-in-one.”
Lunch is also provided that day at noon and there will be an-all-you-can-eat prime rib buffet. All funds raised will go to support the ministry of YFC in the area.
One of the expenses for YFC is to send kids to camp. This year, the camp itself has a special need.
“The camp is in Maryland and kids from all across the country come there,” said Beck. “The nurse that they had arranged didn’t come through, so they are looking for a replacement for the summer also.”
Camp is July 18 to 25, and a licensed nurse will have their expenses covered and be given food and housing.
