PLYMOUTH — Louellen K. Kowatch, 55, of Plymouth passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at Hospice House of South Bend.
Louellen was born Nov. 6, 1957 in Culver, one of three children born to Charles and Mildred (Clingler) Weiger Jr. Growing up she loved animals, having pet ducks. She was a choir member in high school and described herself as a lifetime Girl Scout and Trainer. She loved singing and working arts and crafts.
Louellen fell in love and married John “Bob” Kowatch on Feb. 5, 1976 at the Grace United Church of Christ in Culver. Together they raised a daughter, Barbara. Louellen worked at Jackson-Hewitt in Plymouth as a tax consultant for many years.
Louellen is survived by her husband John “Bob” Kowatch of Plymouth; daughter Barbara Kowatch of Plymouth, grandson Jacob Kowatch of Plymouth; mother Mildred Weiger of Indianapolis; brothers Terry and Robin Weiger of Indianapolis and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her father.
A time to gather and share memories with Louellen’s family will be held Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. at Grace United Church of Christ in Culver. Rev. Scott Yoder will officiate funeral services at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Culver Masonic Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Plymouth Little League.
