Local company recognized by state

PLYMOUTH - A local company has been honored with a state award.

Kessler Crane - a Marshall County company that makes camera support equipment for the film industry - was named as one of Indiana’s “Companies to Watch” for this year.

The accolade, presented by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, the Indiana Small Business Development Center network and the Edward Lowe Foundation, recognizes the state’s privately held businesses that employ six to 150 full-time employees and have between $750,000 to $100 million in annual revenue or capital.

Kessler makes camera support equipment for all filmmakers - independent film makers all the way to the Hollywood studios.

Kessler Crane and all 33 ‘Companies to Watch’ will be honored at an August 22 ceremony at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis.
