PLYMOUTH — Lewis R. Moore, 88, of Plymouth, passed away at 10:20 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, in Plymouth. 
Lewis was born Sept. 28, 1923, in Pulaski County, to Harley and Ellen (Riggs) Moore. Lewis served his country during WWII in the United States Army. Jean K. Weisenburger and Lewis R. Moore were married Aug. 9, 1945 in Winamac. Jean passed away Jan. 19, 2005, after almost 60 years of marriage. Lewis retired from Bendix Corporation, South Bend, after 22 years. He was a member of Saint Michael Catholic Church, in Plymouth.
Lewis is survived by his daughter, Judi (Richard) Fox of Plymouth; his sons, David (Jane) Moore of Houston, Texas, and Gary (Patsy) Moore of Granger; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; his brother, Arthur Moore of Monticello; and his sister, Nancy Foerg of Winamac. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael in 1992 and his brother, Robert.
