ROCHESTER — Larry K. Andrews, 77, of Rochester died May 1, 2013 at 7:38 a.m. at his residence; he had been in declining health for several months.
He was born July 25, 1935 in Argos to Thomas A. and Martha (Byers) Andrews.
He had lived in Fulton County for the last 28 years, coming from Argos.
On Feb. 5, 1955 in Culver he married Patricia Elaine (Mockus) Andrews; together they shared the last 58 years.
He was a brick layer for the South Bend Brick Layers Union.
He was a member of the American Legion of Rochester and attended the Cross Church of Rochester. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves from 1955 to 1961.
He is survived by his wife – Pat Andrews of Rochester; daughters – Belinda Jackson and husband Phillip of Argos; Brenda Andrews of Rochester; Diana Jackson and husband Dale of Fort Wayne; Martha Sutton and husband Roy of Rochester; sons – Dana Andrews and wife Cheryl of San Jose, Calif.; Mark Andrews and wife Mitsi of San Jose, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters – Mary Correll and husband Bruce of Argos, Lelia Denny and husband Carl of North Liberty; Shirley Stevens and husband Herbert of Argos; and brothers – Jerry Andrews and wife Janet of Rochester; Doug Andrews and wife Lynn of Argos.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers – Thomas Andrews and Michael Andrews; and sister – Linda Howard.
Friends may visit with the family Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 2 – 6 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ, 15676 Michigan Road, Argos, officiated by Rev. David Pennington.
Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
