Lancers earn moral victory in loss

August 31, 2010

LAKEVILLE — LaVille might have come up short of the win, but the Lady Lancers still walked off the court with something of a moral victory Monday.
After falling behind two games to visiting Goshen, the Lancers refused to surrender in the final game, running out the game 10-10 but still losing a prolonged 30-28 battle in a 25-21, 25-15, 30-28 loss at home.
“I love their effort. I’m not really disappointed when they lose when they play like they did,” said LaVille head coach Leslie-ann Bloss. “They’ve come a long way from where they were in the beginning of the season."
