Lake Maxinkuckee, Culver Citizen featured prominently in new Vonnegut documentary

The stories of the Lake Maxinkuckee and the Vonnegut family -- and particularly its best-known son, late novelist Kurt Vonnegut Jr -- are the topic of a new online documentary film special released Sept. 23.

The film is part of the science-fiction podcast series, "No Deodorant in Outer Space," which describes itself as "a podcast reviewing literature and movies in classic and contemporary science fiction, fantasy and related genres," and is available online here: https://nodeodorantinouterspace.wordpress.com/2015/09/21/video-special-c...

Hosts Ryan Sean O'Reilly, a science fiction author and critic, and sci-fi enthusiast (and Culver Academies graduate) Richard Mehl spend around an hour in the Clemens Vonnegut Jr house on Lake Maxinkuckee interviewing Culver Citizen editor and Culver Academies Museum curator Jeff Kenney about the history of the area and Vonnegut's connection to it, in a program shot this spring on the lake.
