Kids bowl free

June 8, 2012

PLYMOUTH — Since 2010, Quick’s Lanes in Plymouth has offered free bowling for children every day during the summer months. John Reed of Quick’s Lanes said that 698 children have already signed up for this year.
“Some families may not be able to afford to take all the kids bowling, and it’s a fun, safe thing to do,” explained Reed. “This is our way of giving back to the community for the 30-plus years they’ve supported us.”
To get free bowling passes, parents can visit www.kidsbowlfree.com/Quick’sLanes and complete a registration form. Free bowling coupons will then be sent to the parent’s email account each Sunday. There’s no limit to how many coupons families can use.
“They can come every day if they want to,” said Reed of the program. “The only cost is the $2 shoe rental.”
The accompanying parent or supervising adult does need to pay to bowl, although a family pass can be purchased for $25. Free bowling goes on from May 14 to August 31. Hours are: Monday, 3 to 9 p.m., Tuesday 3 to 9 p.m., Wednesday 3 to 9 p.m., Thursday 3 to 9 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday open to 9 p.m., Sunday 1 to 9 p.m.
