Join the POP procession

October 28, 2010

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth High School made history Saturday as the Pride of Plymouth (POP) Marching Band finished in the top 10 out of 20 teams to go on to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for the State Finals this Saturday.
POP has made the semi-state for two of last three years, but this will be the first trip to the finals.
The band will perform in Class C competition and the PHS Music Boosters hope the community celebrates in the upcoming activities.
Businesses may show their support through their signs and the community is invited to attend the band’s full dress rehearsal in a community tribute at “The Rock” football stadium at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
Saturday, POP fans can follow the police-led procession leaving Plymouth High School at 8:30 a.m., or line the downtown streets showing their support and well wishes. The music boosters hope that the community will share the excitement Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
It is recommended that fans arrive at the stadium before the contests begin to ensure timely access to the Plymouth performance.
The contest begins at 1:15 p.m. with POP performing at 2:59.
Awards will follow.
