John C. Clark

WALKERTON â€” John Calvin Clark, 80, of Walkerton passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013 in Arcadia, Fla. John was born July 10, 1932, in Joliet, Ill., to the late Cleo and Anne (Rabbitt) Clark. On Jan. 6, 1990, in Plymouth, he married the former Anna (Yesberger) Koch. John is survived by his wife, Anna; children, Mike (Shelly) Clark, Connie (Daniel) Benson, Michele (Brian) Seese, and Kent (Patty) Koch all of Walkerton; 11 grandchildren, Melissa Clark, Michelle (Ethan) Marosz, Sarah Knowlton, Kyle (Megan) Stull, Karlyn Stull, Zachary, Sam, Zoe and Zane Seese, Brannigan (Paul) Stackman and Kristen Keehn; one great-grandchild, Trinity Stackman; two brothers, Paul of Sacramento, Calif. and Randy of Spokane, Wash.; one sister, Martha (John) Kaminski of Grovertown; sister-in-law, Carol Clark of LaPorte as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, William, Larry and Steve. Â
John was a proud Veteran and served in the 3rd Army Infantry during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Walkerton American Legion Post 189 and the Walkerton United Methodist Church. He retired from the CSX Railroad, where he worked as a clerk. He enjoyed playing golf and shooting pool and he loved sports, especially his beloved Chicago Cubs.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. EDT at the Walkerton United Methodist Church, 1000 Georgia St., Walkerton with a military graveside service to follow at Morris Cemetery, Teegarden. Friends may call one hour prior to the memorial service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Walkerton United Methodist Church.
