PLYMOUTH — Joan A. Ellinger, 86, of Plymouth, passed away at 5:05 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Miller’s Merry Manor, in Plymouth.
Joan was born March 10, 1926, in Plymouth, to Wilber and Amanda (Craig) Cochran. She worked for the Electric Maid Bakery, in Plymouth and retired from American Optical after 27 years of service. Joan was a past member of the VFW Auxiliary. She had been a resident of the Plymouth community her entire life. Her greatest pride and joy was her family. She was a loving, giving, and caring, mother, who always put her children first.
Joan is survived by her sons, Billy (Vickie) Ellinger of Plymouth, Michael (Denise) Ellinger of Ft. Wayne, and Phillip Ellinger of LaPaz; and her daughter, Rebecca (David) Davis of Greenville, S.C. Also surviving are Joan’s nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great-grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by her sisters, Jane Bishop, Zenobia Scott, and Julia Cochran; and her brothers, Burt Cochran, Leotis Cochran, and Donavon Cochran.
