February 29, 2012

ROYAL OAK, Mich. — Plymouth graduate Jessica Centa was one of three Saint Mary’s basketball players given Michiana Intercollegiate Athletic Association All-Conference honors, the college announced Tuesday.
Centa was named to the All-MIAA second team along with teammate Patsy Mahoney, while Kelley Murphy was named to the first team for the Belles.
Centa led all players in the MIAA in her senior season in offensive rebounds (61) while finishing second in free throw percentage (89.4 percent), fourth in field goal percentage (48.2 percent), seventh in overall rebounding (6.6 rpg), and tied for 12th in scoring (9.5 ppg). An MIAA Player of the Week during her sophomore campaign, this honor marks the first time in her career that she has been named to an All-MIAA team at the conclusion of the season.
