PLYMOUTH — Jay W. McLochlin, age 81, of Plymouth, passed away, at 6:04 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Memorial Hospital, in South Bend.
Jay was born Sept. 15, 1931, in Marshall County, to Francis and Helen (Woodward) McLochlin. Mary Ann Hiss and Jay McLochlin were married at Saint Michael Catholic Church, in Plymouth, on May 5, 1956. They were blessed with four children.
Jay raised beef cattle and farmed his land. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Posse, the Marshall County 4-H Fair Board, the 4-H Fair Horse and Pony Board, and Saint Michael Catholic Church. He also served on the Plymouth Community School Board. Jay proudly served his country, in the United States Army, during the Korean War.
Jay is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Ann McLochlin; their daughters, Susan (Kevin) Holland of Plymouth and Linda (George) Emenaker of Plymouth; their sons, Tom (Joan) McLochlin of Plymouth and Tim (Dena) McLochlin of Plymouth; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Jay was preceded in death by his granddaughter and his four brothers, his twin Fay, Joseph, Francis Jr., and Richard (Mac).
