September 19, 2011

PLYMOUTH — Jana’s Gymnastics helped the U.S. regain the world record for most participants doing a hand-stand simultaneously Saturday.
At exactly 1 p.m. EST, gymnasts at Jana’s joined the rest of a group of 20, 478 USA Gymnastics participants in breaking the existing record of 2,402 hand stands set by Australian gymnasts in 2005 in Melbourne.
Prior to the Australians’ record-setting performance, the U.S. owned the record with 1,072 hand stands set as part of the build-up to the 2005 Visa National Gymnastics Championships.
