PLYMOUTH — James I. Adams, 93, of Plymouth, passed away at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth.
Jim was born Aug. 19, 1919 in Van Buren Township, Putnam County, Ohio, to Virgil and Ruth (Abair) Adams. Jim worked with his brothers, Robert, Stu, and Clifford at Culligan Soft Water in Plymouth. He later moved to Columbia City to help with the family farm, where he eventually retired at the age of 55. Jim moved to Florida for 30 years before moving to Plymouth seven years ago.
Jim is survived by his 18 nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law; several great-nieces and nephews; and several great-great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Ruth Adams; his brothers, Robert Adams, V. Stuart Adams, and Clifford Adams; and his infant sister, Gertrude Adams.
