LaPORTE — Iris L. Zink, 96, of LaPorte,  died at 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Brentwood Assisted Living.
She was born July 7, 1914 in Walkerton to Oliver and Fern (Bennett) Cripe.
Aug. 12, 1933 in Kokomo she married Audra B. Zink who preceded her in death Jan. 19, 1991. 
She was a member of Salem Chapel United Methodist Church. 
She was also head bank teller and cashier for 25 years at 1st Source Bank in Plymouth. She was formerly active in church organizations at Salem Chapel United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Kitchen Kin Extension Homemakers Club.    
She leaves behind a daughter, Beverly (Donn) Kelver of LaPorte; a son, Gene (Lillian) Zink of Mc Intosh, N.M.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.    
She is preceded by her parents; husband; and a sister, Audrey Patterson.     
A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Essling Funeral Home, with Pastor Dee Miller officiating.  
Visitation will be held Friday, April 29, 2011 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Essling Funeral Home.  
Private family burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial contributions may be made to Brentwood (LaPorte) Memory Care Unit, 2002 Andrew Avenue, LaPorte, IN, 46350.
