IHSAA announces state football draws

INDIANAPOLIS — The stage was set for the IHSAA State Football Tournament as 315 schools were placed into brackets at the drawing for the 39th annual tourney Sunday.
Sectional play begins Friday, Oct. 21 for all but five teams who drew a bye in their seven-team sectionals.

In the championships Friday, Nov. 4, the host team will be the team that has played the most away games. If both teams have played the same number of away games, the bottom bracket team will host.
