PLYMOUTH — Ag Day is set for Thursday, March 31 at Centennial Park. Featured speakers and animals will include: Ducks, electric safety, swine, sheep, farm trivia, dairy, beef, conservation of natural resources, crops, farm safety, and pizza snack/nutrition. Help is needed during the day so volunteers would be appreciated to educate the more than 600 third graders and others learn about modern agriculture.
Something new this year will be a smaller version of our Taste of Marshall County held from 5 to 7 p.m. It is for the community to interact with local farmers and learn about agriculture. Assistance is needed also with the evening event. To help coordinate an agricultural-related display or to hand out food call Bob Yoder at the extension office at 574-935-8545 or e-mail him at email@example.com.
Displays needed include: animal displays, several food items to taste (there are presently only three), educational displays, and some activities for youth.
