PLYMOUTH — Hacienda Mexican Restaurants will open its 13th location in Plymouth at the end of May.
The restaurant will be housed in the former Beef O'Brady's off of U.S. 30.
"The restaurant will be completely redecorated to create the ambiance Hacienda guests have come to love," said Jeff Leslie, Hacienda's vice president of sales and marketing. "We will seat 135 (people), including an outdoor margarita garden."
Leslie noted that 100 employees will be hired. Applications are now being accepted online at www.haciendafiesta.com.
"Interviews will begin April 8," said Leslie.
He added, "Our general manager will be Rich Smith, an 18-year Hacienda veteran. Smith most recently managed the Michigan City Hacienda."
The restaurant will serve the full variety of Hacienda favorites, including wet burritos, frozen margaritas, and the beloved chips and salsa. Extensive renovation is planned over the next two months to get the location ready, but Hacienda's food and beverage director said the aroma of the well-known cuisine is what really makes the building "feel" like a Hacienda.
"It won't be Hacienda until the day the spice order arrives," said Gary White, food and beverages director.
