Grace inks LaVille standout Feitz

June 1, 2012

LAKEVILLE — Grace’s women’s basketball team has added the next piece to its puzzle in LaVille High School’s Jesse Feitz.
Feitz is a 6-foot-2 post player who earned First Team All-Northern State Conference honors as a senior.
She averaged 13.1 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game during her senior year, according to VarVee.com. The Indiana Basketball Coaches Association named her Honorable Mention for Senior All-State as well.
“Of all the schools I looked at, Grace was the soundest school in spiritual terms,” Feitz said. “Grace had the majors I wanted and a place where I can improve my basketball skills over my four years here.”
Feitz was also a part of LaVille’s soccer, track and cross country teams during her high school career. During her senior soccer season, Feitz earned All-NSC honors in leading the team to the conference championship.
“We are excited to add Jesse to our family. She will add depth to our post this upcoming season,” said Grace head coach Scott Blum. “Jesse is an athletic post player who can score inside and outside. She has a passion and love for the Lord and the game of basketball, and she will fit in great with our program.”
Feitz, who is the daughter of Jon and Gretchen Feitz, plans to study athletic training and exercise science while at Grace.
“Jesse has been an outstanding leader for our team,” said LaVille head coach Kevin McCullough. “Her work ethic and drive to succeed have made her a positive role model. She has a strong faith that keeps her motivated, and we wish her the best as she continues to hoop it up.”
