Governor holds ceremonial bill signing in Bremen

July 5, 2013

BREMEN — Gov. Mike Pence was in Bremen on Wednesday, July 3, for the ceremonial signing of a pair of laws spearheaded by northern Indiana state legislators.

One bill limits the amount of pseudophedrine and ephedrine consumers can purchase to 61.2 grams per year without a doctor’s prescription.
The law, authored by State Sen. Carlin Yoder, R-Middlebury, passed during the 2013 legislative session.

The second bill, authored by State Rep. Mike Karickhoff, R-Kokomo, makes the addresses of law enforcement personnel and victims of domestic violence private on many property databases open to the public.

That bill also passed in the 2013 session. Both laws went into effect July 1.
