PLYMOUTH — Gloria Jean Scarborough, 72, of Plymouth died Sept. 28, 2012 at 11:05 a.m. at her residence. She had been in declining health for several months.
She was born April 4, 1940 in Knox to Forrest and Geraldine (Zellers) White. She has lived in Plymouth the last seven years, coming from Grovertown.
She married David Scarborough Jr. March 17, 1956 in Grovertown; he preceded April 18, 1998.
She was a housewife/homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Argos.
She is survived by a daughter – Tammie Griffin of Plymouth; sons – Ralph David Scarborough and wife Dawn of Knox, Richard Alen Scarborough and wife Nancy of Plymouth, Randal Dean Scarborough of LaPaz; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; five sisters – Bonnie Varro of North Judson, Alice Cleveland of Plymouth, Lucille Christenson of Inwood, Marilyn Woods and wife Ken of South Bend, Kathryn Budka of Knox; four brothers – Richard White of Bass Lake, Sam White of Marion, Ill., Dennis White of Texas; David White and wife Janet of Bass Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother — Tom White.
Friends may visit with the family Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ, 15676 Michigan Road, Argos with Rev. Lloyd Howard of the Church of Jesus Christ officiating.
Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton.
