Glenn moves to 6-0 in NSC with Jimtown win

WALKERTON — Don’t look now, but John Glenn is on the verge of a Northern State Conference boys basketball championship.
The Falcons collected their seventh straight victory Thursday night, outlasting Jimtown, 52-40. They are 9-5 overall and 6-0 in the NSC.
Considering the season began 1-4, how do you explain that, coach Travis Hannah?
“I wish I could,” said Hannah, who watched his team alternate between hot and cold on its home floor at Glenn. “This isn’t a team that’s easy to understand.”
The Falcons were absolutely on fire through the first quarter, burying 6-of-8 field goal attempts. They were frigid in the second, sinking 2-of-9.
“That’s been our M.O. all season,” said Hannah. “If we could ever put together 32 minutes of solid basketball, we’d be tough to beat. We’re about six possessions away from being 13-1 right now.”
