ROCHESTER — Gilbert G. Rich, 85, of Argos passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 9:34 p.m. in Woodlawn Hospital at Rochester.
Gilbert was born the son of Edward Rich and Emma Haehnel Rich Feb. 22, 1927 at Leroy. He was a resident of Argos the past 48 years. He was a truck driver hauling steel. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the Bourbon American Legion Post #424 and Marshall County Farm Bureau. In his spare time he enjoyed working with rocks, polishing them and making various kinds of jewelry.
Gilbert married Dorothy Einspahr July 15, 1950 who survives along with his three children; Pam (Mrs. Allen) Robowski of Grovertown, Mike and wife Janice Rich of Argos and Linda (Mrs. Kenneth) Guyse of Argos. Also surviving are his four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a brother Lloyd and wife Eunice Rich of Rochester.
He was preceded in death by three sisters.
In honoring his wishes there will be no visitation or services. Cremation will take place.
