ARGOS — Gerald “Tony” Rudolph Denney, 81, of Argos died Oct. 10, 2012 at 11:32 a.m. at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center- Plymouth following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 2, 1931 in Plymouth to Robert E. and Flossie I. (Yeazel) Denney. He lived all of his life in the Argos community.
He married Ellen S. (Suzie) McCoige Aug. 6, 1972 in Plymouth.
He was school crossing guard for the town of Argos for 16 years; he retired in 1979.
He belonged to the Loyal Order of Moose #741, Plymouth; Sons of the American Legion Post #68, Argos, and attended Argos High School.
He is survived by his wife, Suzie Denney; brother, Roger Denney and wife Pam of Plymouth; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, David (Dutch) Denney, and one sister, Patsy Fretz.
Friends may visit with the family Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos.
Services will be Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Dewey Miller of the Argos United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
Memorial contributions may be made to Argos EMS – 125 W. Walnut St., Argos, IN 46501.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos.
