NAPPANEE — George Hornish, 79, formerly of Nappanee, died Wednesday, June 13, at 9:30 p.m. at Maples Nursing Home in Goshen after an extended illness.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; daughters, Debra (David) Anewalt of Greensburg, Tammy (Rick) Oser of Indianapolis, and Caryn (Dennis) Hershberger of Nappanee; son, Scott (Jean) Hornish of Nappanee; stepchildren, Deborah (Max) Schmucker of Nappanee, Jackie (Mike) Mann of Granger, and Kerry Lamb of Valparaiso; nine grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Vivian Danz of Santa Clara, Calif.
Visitation is Saturday, June 16, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. The funeral service will be Sunday at the Living Gospel Church at 3 p.m. Burial will follow at South Union Cemetery with Military Graveside Services by the Nappanee American Legion. Memorial contributions may be given to the Living Gospel Missionary Fund, Gideon’s International, or Child Evangelism of Elkhart County. Online condolences may be shared at www.tlyfh.com.
