Gas tanks removed
In ground gas tanks that have laid dormant for years were removed from the ground at the old Clark Station on Jefferson Street in Plymouth, Tuesday. Work on the unused station has been ongoing this week. The station has been closed for several years. The removal of the tanks and other activity at the station had become somewhat of an attraction, said a man calling the Pilot News Tuesday afternoon. A number of people watched the progress of the job, as heavy equipment was called in to dig out the underground tanks. The presence of gasoline vapors was heavy in the air as the tanks came out of the ground.
