Area children 18 years of age and younger and people with disabilities (regardless of age) who participate in special education programs are eligible for a free meal through the Summer Food Service Program for Children (SFSP) at the following locations, according to Culver Comm. Schools food service director Carin Clifton (all other adults may purchase a lunch for $3 and/or a breakfast for $1.50). All meals must be eaten on site.
Culver Comm. High School (Mon., Weds., Fri.), June 4 through 29 and July 9 through 16. Breakfast: 8 to 9 a.m. July 29 through August 10: breakfast, 7 to 7:30 a.m.; lunch, 11 to 11:30 a.m.
Culver Elementary School: June 4 through August 10. Breakfast, 7:45 to 8:30 a.m.; lunch, noon to 12:30 p.m. Culver Public Library: June 19 through Aug. 2, 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. (Tuesday and Thursday storytelling/craft time).
Closed July 17 and July 19.
Former Monterey Elementary School: June 4 through 29: lunch, noon to 12:30.
Aubbeenaubee Twp. Comm. Bldg.: June 4 through July 27. Lunch, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Ora Gospel Chapel Church: June 4 through 29. Lunch,12:15 to 12:45 p.m. EST
All sites will be closed July 4 to observe Independence
The SFSP was created to serve nutritious meals to children when the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program meals are not available. To ensure all children receive proper nutrition throughout the year, SFSP reimburses organizations that prepare and serve meals to
