Falcons surge past Trojans
Treavor Duff had a breakout game for John Glenn with 172 rushing yards, and the Falcons overcame an early score from Triton to claim a 62-7 Northern State Conference win at Bourbon Friday.
Triton went up 7-0 at the 10:24 mark of the first frame on a 38-yard pass from Bryson Mosier to D.J. Riffle, but it was Glenn’s show from there on out as the Falcons racked up 553 total offensive yards to the Trojans’ 90 en route to nine touchdowns.
Mosier led Triton in rushing with 20 yards in nine carries, while Riffle gained 11 yards in one run.
Triton falls to 0-4 with an 0-3 NSC start, while Glenn improves to 4-1 and 3-1 in the conference.
The Trojans travel to New Prairie next week, while the Falcons take a break from NSC play as they host Culver Military.

Brebeuf rallies past CMA
Brebeuf Jesuit scored a touchdown on a 2-yard run from Sterling Mitchell with 11:50 remaining in the game, and the Braves defense held Culver Military as the Eagles took a 21-17 loss at home at The Academies Friday.
CMA took the initial lead with a pair of first-quarter touchdowns on a 22-yard run from Pierre Byrne at the 3:44 stop and a 52-yard pass from Hayes Barnes with 51 seconds to go in the frame.
Brebeuf answered back with a pair of scores at the 6:49 and 43-second marks of the second quarter, but Diego Herrera kicked a 17-yard field goal at the 2:23 stop to help the home team maintain a 17-14 halftime edge.
Neither team scored in the third quarter, and Mitchell’s two-yarder sealed the Eagles’ fate.
