Fitness Forum Sports and Wellness at LifePlex offers activities to recognize Heart Health Month

PLYMOUTH —  Fitness Forum Sports & Wellness at LifePlex in Plymouth is offering many events in recognition of Heart Health Month. Local cardiologist Dr. Josephine Randazzo will continue her "Heart Healthy Journey" partnership with the Fitness Forum by writing her weekly Wednesday column in the Pilot News "Walking the Walk to Wellness." The exterior of the LifePlex building will be lit up in the color red to draw attention to Heart Disease and Heart Health Month. In recognition of "Go Red For Women Day" the members of surrounding communities are invited to walk the indoor Fitness Forum Sports and Wellness at LifePlex track for free, Friday, Feb. 4 and Saturday, Feb. 5 if they wear red. A free community outreach presentation will take place Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m. "Be My Valentine — Social Connections That Can Improve Your Health," will be led by Toni Trump, IT Specialist and will teach some of the skills needed to begin social networking with loved ones and friends. Friday, Feb. 25 a CPR/AED certification class for the professional rescuer will take place from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and a recertification class will be offered Saturday, Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. until noon.
